Bailouts and bail bondsmen

We all know too well that hundreds of billions of dollars are now going to corporations and banking institutions because, as we've been told, the economy and real estate have taken a dive, so it is necessary for us, the taxpayers to get the pails and save the sinking ships.

So then, where does responsibility fit in here?

Does anyone remember responsibility?

Does any one remember when sense was common?

It seems all to often in recent times that government has become the answer for all that ails society and business, but remember when that wasn't the case?

Remember when a business had to create an honest profit in order to survive?

Why must we save General motors, Chase bank, AIG, Chrysler, Citi, etc, etc, etc.
Why should the government own 60% of general motors? 80% of AIG?

Where does the gravy train stop, and sanity begin?

Where is the constitution in all of this?

A new president and a new direction

The election is now history, and a new president has been sworn in to defend and protect the constitution of the United States.

Every one remembers the constitution don't they, it was a document written by a group of men, who melded together a people, to form a nation free from tyrrany and oppression.

As we continue forward with the current economic situation, that was mainly created by greed and poor management decisions, we should remember that documant called the constitution and it's meaning. As a people we should not, and cannot afford, to ask the government to forget our rights and freedoms in this great nation called America.  If we do so, a prophecy will be fullfilled concerning democracies and their viability in the world.

That prophecy? That a democracy cannot survive long term, because once the people find that they can vote themselves the spoils from the treasury, they shall return themselves to the bondage from whence they came.

With trillion dollar defecits now seemingly the norm in Washington, it would appear it is upon us now, and only a free nation of thinking citizens can reverse that course.

 What course would you choose?

The economy and tommorow

As we all know by now, the economy has been in recession and by all indicators it will be a somewhat protracted down turn.

How will business survive in this sort of economic climate, and what should homeowners do as well to weather the
storm & possibly come out on the other side of it ahead of the game rather than behind?

In every economy, good bad or stagnant,  there are opportunities for success. Some of those opportunities are less desireable to certain individuals and businesses than others, but things such as the foreclosure market are sure to be exploited by one source or another. A bit like ambulance chasing, but still happening and still part of the equation.

Homeowners will be staying closer to home and spending fewer descretionary dollars on luxury items, but because they will be spending more time at home, some of those dollars will be spent on new or updated landscaping. A new deck to relax on after a hard day, etc.

It is those pockets of opportunity that we all must look for and explore, while staying conservative and diligent on finances.

The storm always passes, and the cleanup resumes, the question becomes one of wether or not you are cleaning up, or being cleaned up after.

 That choice is yours.
